Underwater Terps is a student organization founded to provide the University of Maryland community the opportunity to scuba dive. We are a new organization, but we have big ideas for the upcoming semesters. We are student run and our activities are available to all registered students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of Maryland.
Underwater Terps is for anyone interested in scuba diving whether you have logged 200 dives or zero. Need to get certified? We can help! We have an independent instructor who works exclusively with us to get our uncertified members in the water and diving. Browse our certification page for more information.
Our short term goal is simple: go diving! Our long term goal is to establish Underwater Terps as a permanent club on campus whose legacy will live on long after the current leadership is gone. Other goals that we would like to accomplish in the coming semesters are to receive more SGA funding, plan more trips, advertise, hold more fundraisers, enroll more active members, buy some equipment, and continue producing a successful and affordable certification class.
